Seeding Resilience

When COVID19 began, we quickly organized with other food growers and distributors to form Seeding Resilience, a community coalition supported by the University at Buffalo Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab. One important first step was to help people in need of food during the pandemic to quickly find it. Click the map below for a list of organizations around Buffalo offering assistance with food access during the COVID-19 crisis.

Seeding Resilience continues to meet biweekly to assess emergency food needs in Western

New York. Seeding Resilience has also supported Buffalo Freedom Gardens as an innovative response to the coronavirus crisis for Black,

Indigenous, and People of Color who want to grow food for liberation and resilience. Also be sure to head over to the "Seedling Stewards" page for educational videos on how to start your own garden at home!
