To combat hunger in our community, the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Wegmans are teaming up for their annual Huddle for Hunger initiative. This initiative aims to raise awareness of food insecurity in our region and support local hunger-fighting charities.
Grassroots Gardens WNY is proudly joining this year’s campaign during Week 3 of the team’s regular season. The initiative supports twenty local food access charities and organizations through events, promotions, and a raffle.
There are three primary ways to get involved during this year’s Huddle for Hunger campaign, including the Food Drive and Festival on September 22, the Wegmans Meals 2 Go promotion through September 27, and the Buffalo Bills Foundation’s 50/50 raffle.
Huddle For Hunger Bills 50/50 Raffle
One of the best ways you can support our community gardens is by getting tickets through the Buffalo Bills Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle!
The net charitable proceeds from the Bills 50/50 raffle will be donated to the twenty Huddle for Hunger charities. Purchase your tickets through our unique link, and the charitable proceeds benefit Grassroots Gardens WNY!
Tickets can be purchased now through September 27, 2026 at the start of the fourth quarter. Last year, the raffle reached over $240,000!

Huddle For Hunger Food Drive and Festival
Join us on September 22, 2026 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Highmark Stadium for a family-friendly event. Grassroots Gardens WNY will be joining local nonprofits and food access organizations at this year’s Huddle for Hunger Community Food Drive and Festival!
The festival will feature a food drive, benefiting FeedMore WNY, local food pantries, soup kitchens, and warming houses. Donors will receive a tote bag and entry into the Huddle for Hunger festival.
We’ll be there with our blender bikes, where you can pedal fast for a tasty smoothie!

Wegmans Meals 2 Go Promotion
From September 22-26, 2026, Wegmans is matching every Meals 2 Go order, dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000, to be donated to the twenty Huddle for Hunger charities.
Keep an eye out at local Wegmans stores for signage detailing Huddle for Hunger and the participating charities.
