Grassroots Gardens WNY’s development director, Justin Baumgardner, joined newsanchor Marlee Tuskes on WIVB- TV at Highmark Stadium on September 22, 2026 to talk about the Huddle for Hunger initiative and how you can get involved in addressing food insecurity in our community.
To combat hunger in our community, the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Wegmans are teaming up for their annual Huddle for Hunger initiative. This initiative aims to raise awareness of food insecurity in our region and support local hunger-fighting charities.
Grassroots Gardens WNY is a proud charity partner of the initiative, participating in events over the past several years. You can support local community and school gardens by purchasing Buffalo Bills Foundation 50/50 tickets directly from us. The charitable portion of proceeds benefit our network and programs.
During Huddle for Hunger in 2025, GGWNY was honored as the Highmark Community Hero of the game.
