1st Saturday “Chores and Chuckles” at Pelion Outdoor Classroom

Pelion Outdoor Classroom at City Honors School, a member of our garden network, is hosting a weekend “chores and chuckles” volunteer session. From the gardeners:

“Join us the first Saturday morning of each month for some gardening chores and accidental fun. Tasks vary but may include: weeding, watering, light carpentry, planting, harvesting, collecting seeds, starting seed trays, turning soil/compost, transplanting, raking, deadheading, putting up groundhog deterrent fencing, pruning trees and shrubs. Bring your favorite work gloves and water bottle.
Sessions are 2hrs. Individuals do not have to signup–just show up. Stay for an hour or the whole session. Groups of 5 or more should notify us a week prior so we can borrow tools from the Tool Library while it’s open.”

The event occurs rain or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of extreme rainfall or lightning.
