Grassroots Gardens WNY invites local gardeners and neighbors to its season-opening volunteer orientation on February 17

BUFFALO, NY - Grassroots Gardens WNY is hosting a volunteer orientation on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. for all local gardeners and neighbors interested in helping with community gardens in the cities of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. No gardening experience is required to become a volunteer.

The orientation will be held at the Grassroots Gardens WNY main office, located at 389 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14204. Street parking and bike parking are available. During the event, Grassroots Gardens WNY will provide information about this upcoming garden season’s volunteering process and opportunities. A seed-sorting learning activity will follow the presentation. Attendees are encouraged to bring a jacket, as an optional portion of the orientation will be held in the community garden adjacent to the building (weather permitting).
