Located at the corner of Vermont & 17th streets in the "Five Points" neighborhood, this garden is primarily supported by the Vermont
Triangle Block Club and maintained by local residents. As one of the oldest gardens in the Grassroots Gardens WNY network, it was established to beautify the urban landscape, provide shared green space for community members, and display the role of pocket parks in reviving declining cities. In addition to growing veggies and flowers to share, volunteers actively promote the sustainable efforts and methods of the garden, including participation in the 2017 “Let’s Do This!” competition to achieve city-wide recycling goals. Today, the garden embraces creative public art alongside raised planting beds, reflecting the artistic character and design influence from the neighborhoods, while including inspirations from the Pan-American Exposition.
