City of Buffalo Charter Revision Commission Public Hearing

Grassroots Gardens WNY is part of an active coalition of 15+ organizations advocating for the establishment of a municipal Office of Urban Agriculture and Food Policy in the City of Buffalo. Currently, food-related policies are managed by several different municipal offices. Centralizing this important work helps lay the foundation for developing policies and programs that make fresh, healthy, culturally relevant food more accessible and affordable; cut the red tape impeding urban agriculture, community gardens, and community-owned food businesses; and enable residents to meet their food needs.
