From the Gardeners
This year the student involvement was increased by the work and support of our ESL students. As we were working stories flowed of their home lands and farms along with gardens. Friendships grew and use and understanding of English improved. We laughed a lot.
We are spreading the word through out our division with a seed give away. The club harvested several cups of Marigold, Dill and Black-Eyed Susan seeds. Participants are responsible for designing the seed packs and the instructions for planting cards. We also worked throughout the year in concert with our Catholic Charities vocational support program and Eat Smart NY.
